The Chemists Club Hotel

The room was clean, comfortable, very spacious, and completed silent at night despite the hotel being in a lively area. The location was perfect - walking distance to Central Park, Times Square, and many amazing sites and restaurants, as well as located on most of the main subway lines to explore all over the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind, and the doorman was very helpful with our bags. We appreciated the complimentary in-room water, sparkling juices, snacks, etc. that were replenished daily with the room cleaning. The bathroom was spacious as well with a very nice shower. The AC/heat system worked well and was quiet, which was good for sleeping. Overall we had an excellent stay and would definitely stay here again!

The location was fantastic, making it very convenient for getting around. The staff were professional and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. The room and hotel interiors were beautiful, and I especially loved the high ceilings, which made the space feel even more luxurious. The bed was incredibly comfortable.

The Chemists Club Hotel is centrally located in midtown Manhattan, about a block from Grand Central Station and two blocks from the main branch of the NY Public Library and Bryant Park. It's convenient to several subway lines and bus lines. There are many shops, restaurants and services nearby. The newly renovated hotel is very clean and elegantly decorated and furnished. I stayed in a Deluxe King room which was pretty large (especially for NYC) and quite comfortable. The bed's mattress, pillows and sheets were probably among the best I've ever slept on. The room is well lit, with a couple of windows with a street view, and a refrigerator and some free snacks. The bathroom was very clean with good water pressure and temperature in the shower, and good toiletries. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, particularly Chris the concierge who had some good advice for my itinerary. Check-in was fast and I actually was able to check in early with no extra fee. The room was quiet, and I didn't hear much street noise (I was on a high floor). The lobby is comfortable and bright with couches and chairs and several tables, with chilled water available. Internet service was free and worked well.

Beautifully restored building, comfortable lobby, lovely spacious room and bathroom. Bed was comfortable and we enjoyed having the “extras” such as robes, slippers and—highly unusual for NY—complimentary snacks and soft drinks! Staff was helpful and pleasant, and we loved the jazz music in the lobby. Great location too. Right near Grand Central for food and shopping, within walking distance to many shops, museums and attractions.
